Our
STORY

Mark and Shelley Deakin have created an Ibicencan inspired seaside haven.

After 5 years of living in ibiza they returned to the North East bringing their own take on the eclectic, laid back dining experience. Serving up delicious pinchos, tapas and cocktails. 

Great tunes and good vibes, always.

Our
DRINKS

We care as much about our drink selection as we do about food ,our drinks include some of the best Spanish beers & wines available. 

We have a large range of draught beers and a cocktail menu to rival the best curated by our very own Mark Deakin and cocktail legend Tom Proud.  

INCLUSIVITY, INFORMALITY and COMMUNITY

Salthouse is about inclusivity, informality and community without sacrificing quality.

Eating drinking and relaxing with friends at any time of the day is what we are about.

From a sunrise cortado (espresso with a splash of milk), tapas brunch or lunch finishing with a few Pintxos with your drinks to see out the evening overlooking the magnificent Cullercoats Bay.

Expect Fantastic coffee and breakfast, authentic Spanish tapas for lunch or evening

and introducing pintxos to the Northeast,

all rounded off by fantastic Spanish beers, wines and ciders. 

Sundays sees us serving our highly rated Sunday traditional lunch.  

Our
FOOD

We serve authentic Spanish Tapas cooked fresh to order. Tapas is about casual relaxed dining with simple food made with the best ingredients. our seafood comes from the local North Shields fish quay and we work with local suppliers for fruit and veg and meats.

Our Cheese and charcuterie is sourced from the finest Spanish suppliers so you get that authentic Spanish feel.
